Hamilton ETFs is one of Canada’s fastest growing exchange traded fund (“ETF”) providers. Based in Toronto’s financial district and with ~$14 billion in ETF assets under management, we are seeking a motivated individual to join our entrepreneurial team of experienced and talented professionals.
Here’s what you will do as Content Specialist:
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Content Specialist will collaborate closely with Hamilton ETFs’ marketing, sales, compliance, operations and product teams to create high-quality investment content. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong writing and editing skills, a clear understanding of financial markets, and the ability to adapt messaging across formats (digital, web, presentations, newsletters, and sales materials). This role plays a key part in ensuring Hamilton ETFs’ voice is consistent, accurate, and compliant across all communications.
Responsibilities:
Write and edit market-related content, including market commentary, blogs, product updates, web content, and marketing communications;
Research, develop, and contribute to longer-form investment content such as educational articles, and thought leadership for advisors and investors;
Review content performance metrics (e.g., web traffic, engagement) and refine content based on insights and results;
Research industry trends and competitor communications to identify content opportunities and ensure Hamilton ETFs remains differentiated;
Assist with media-related content, such as press releases, announcements, or external communications, as required.
Adapt sales and marketing materials including presentations, one-pagers, and investor-facing resources;
Work closely with internal stakeholders to gather inputs, confirm facts, and ensure all content is accurate and aligned with product positioning;
Collaborate with other members of the marketing team and external partners to support campaign messaging, tone, and consistency across channels;
Support the development of ongoing content calendars and content planning to align with marketing and sales priorities;
Ensure content follows brand guidelines and is consistent in tone, voice, and messaging;
Assist in the creation and refinement of presentation materials, including formatting and editing content in PowerPoint;
Support compliance workflows by ensuring all content is accurate, appropriately sourced, and aligned with regulatory and internal standards;
Special projects as assigned for the overall benefit of Hamilton ETFs.
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:
Bachelor’s degree and a strong understanding of Canadian financial markets;
3+ years of experience writing in financial services, asset management, ETFs, or investment communications for the ability to interpret and transcribe investment content accurately;
Bilingual (native or near-native fluency) in both written and spoken English and French a strong asset;
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a demonstrated ability to simplify complex investment concepts;
Experience producing content for multiple formats including web, email, presentations, and investor/advisor-facing materials;
Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel;
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables in a time-sensitive environment and adapt to frequently changing priorities;
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy (especially with numbers, product details, and investment terminology);
Self-motivated and directed;
A team-oriented mindset, with an interest and aptitude to add value outside of core responsibilities;
Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality;
Strong editorial judgment, with a focus on clarity, consistency, and audience relevance;
Familiarity with social media or email marketing content in a regulated environment;
Canadian Securities Course (CSC) would be an asset.
